:-)Ī wee bit more technical info for the A500 in this video, especially in regards to running Workbench and which type of Amiga files it supports (or rather doesn't support). heck I'll even buy them A500 Mini's if they have the inclination to try and pull it off. :-)įrom the very interesting results in this video then I'm genuinely hoping some of those very clever people out there such as MadMonkey & MDFMKanic who brought us the ability to hack/ add more games system to our SNES Mini will be able to the same with the A500 Mini and allow us to hack/ mod it with RetroArch and cores, cos if with the processing power this A500 mini looks to have and especially MDFMKanics amazing cores for systems like the N64 which runs many N64 games really well on the SNES Mini then just imagine how much better they could run on an A500 Mini. WHDLoad has been available for free from it's creators since version 18.2, it used to be that if you wanted to use it's save features you had to purchase a licence/ register it which cost about £14 but they stopped asking for licence fee quite some time ago and now it's completely free. He's wrong about WHDload being a "paid for" piece of software. and the clips of both "Starglider" games simply verify that fact.:-)
When he showed "Damocles" playing and the speed of the gfx then that's enough evidence to prove this A500 Mini really is quite a powerful little beast that beats all other available retro minis hands down in processing power specs. The simple fact alone that he showed it running "Alien Breed 3D" at the same speed as a real Amiga then that means the combination of its emulation and hardware specs means it has more power/ better specs than any of the other Mini's released, which is very interesting and good news indeed.
